a dress & some news

we had a picnic for my birthday in prospect park on saturday! those pictures are forthcoming, but here's the dress i wore- one of my proudest shopping moments- a $10 anthropologie score! i think i wore it last year on my birthday, too :)

i try to avoid heels in the city at all costs, but i forgot how comfy these are! i got them from target last year.

so as i mentioned on friday, i've got some news: i've been accepted to teach at a summer music camp outside of nyc! i'm actually really excited about it. i'll be leaving the city and doing music non-stop every day for two months!

the only thing is... i'm not sure what will happening with the blog during this time. the schedule there sounds pretty intense, and as i'll be working six days per week, with limited internet access.

what this means to you

~ the blog might be slowing down a bit for the next few months. i don't know what it's going to be like, or what kind of posting schedule i can realistically expect to handle.
~ i won't be around to answer as many comments/ emails. i'm very regretful about this! i already feel like i slack off a lot in regards to comments, but my job has to come first.
~ if you've been planning on ordering a cd, you should definitely try to do so before the week is finished! i'll be bringing limited supplies with me, but if i run out, you might have to wait until august.
~ i'll be offering some sort of sponsor discount because of the lighter blogging schedule. keep on the lookout!

this blog is something that's become so important to my life. it's my tentative goal to post at least three times per week while i'm gone, and i've already got some posts planned for the first few weeks. i'll do my best to make sure things don't go totally dark around here, but my priority will be doing music/ camp stuff.

i leave on sunday... the day after my cd release!

i'm so excited to be doing nothing but music all day long!!

  10. cute dress! I would die if I found anything at anthro for $10 bucks. Happy birthday as well fellow gemini! Bandcamp sounds like so much fun. I've never been around a camp setting before so all I have to go on is what I've seen in Wet hot american summer lol. Best of luck to you!
