mixing it up

Taking deep breaths, and stepping out into the world with another style post.

there's so much going on in this outfit that i love. even though, admittedly, i went off the deep end a little.... patterns! colors! i'm basically a style-splosion (right guys??!)

the shirt is newly thrifted, and i've been wearing it for three days straight.

the cardigan is newly acquired from target. i don't have much to spend on new clothes for fall, but i've been wanting a slouchy mustard-colored cardi totes for-evs.

and the crowning jewel of the outfit... you may or may not know that i have a thing for fingerless gloves. these here are mustard-colored, hand-crocheted fingerless gloves, which the lovely emily at lumistyle sent to me.

you'll be seeing them on me all fall and winter.

  1. Even though you have pattern mixing and different colours here, it all works! Loving this look.

    1. pattern mixing is simple: just take two contrasting patterns, wear them together, and walk around like you have the balls to pull it off :) the third part is the most important. x

  8. You have no idea what an amazing investment that sweater was. I got my mustard cardigan from target maybe three years ago and I love it and it goes with everything. I would wear it every day if I could. Seriously. Love.

  12. I can never have too much pattern and color, so you already know that this outfit is right up my alley :) Those fingerless gloves are really the icing on the cake. I think it's still too warm to wear them where I live, but holy moly, do I ever want to go run and buy myself a pair. Lovely as ever Chantilly!

  16. Super sassy miss! Why in the world do I feel like I can never find a cardigan at Target that I like but then I see people wearing them and I love them??? Drat. BTW, your hair looks gorgeous. The curls are so pretty. An H&M just opened up down the street from me and I'm so scared to go in and go broke (broker than I am haha) and those tights make me want to storm the H&M castle!!
