Happy Monday!
Is everyone out there ready for the big storm today?! Anyone afraid? NYC is supposed to have a direct hit, but for some reason I can't be bothered to be scared about it. I for one, am just hoping that our leaky window won't leak (it will.) Either way, hope everyone out there is staying safe...

Well, on a day in the not so distant past when there was NOT a threat of federal emergency, we went out and took some style photos.
You may notice that almost every single one of these photos has a different backdrop. We didn't mean it. But we've been getting in the habit of seeing an interesting spot and taking a few photos. Believe it or not, these locations are all on one or two streets in our neighborhood!
By the way, this is orla kiely scarf #2 :)
cardi- target/ romper- thrifted/ hat- thrifted/ scarf- orla kieley for uniqlo/ socks- sock dreams/ booties- thriftedBut seriously, does everyone out there have everything they need for the storm? We sure don't, but I think we'll make it through just fine. We're on decently high ground, and I don't think we'll have to evacuate.

Everyone stay safe out there! xoxo

ReplyDeleteBe caregul girl, two years ago i thought nothing wrong could happen when the Hurricane Karl hit the state where i live, it did had consequences, i lost most of my things and i have to stay for a month in other place. Thankfully my furry babies and my mom same as I were ok.
Is not to be scary, just be safe, sending you best wishes and positive thoughts :)
i appreciate it. we survived. but unfortunately, i'm pretty sad about some of the damage done in the city, as well as the beaches where i grew up. :(
DeleteThat second picture if fierce!!
ReplyDeletethanks!!
DeleteYou look so pretty! It looks like you're waring more makeup than usual, and it really suits you! (not that you don't look just as gorgeous without makeup!)
ReplyDeleteHope you do well through the storm! I'm inland enough that where I live won't be hit. ;)

ReplyDeletexx
thank you!
DeleteI'm further up north so I don't think we'll get hit too bad. I'm mostly worried about losing power but at least my job closed the office today (not that I have a way of getting to Manhattan anyway). Either way, you be safe and maybe tape up your leaky window. :)
ReplyDeletehope everything turned out okay for you, marilyn!
DeleteStay safe chick, and I hope your window doesn't leak to badly. Love this outfit, the knee high socks and ankle boots look amazing xo

Almost Endearing
Cool outfit!!! Good luck with that storm :S
ReplyDeleteOh, I was going to e-mail you to ask you if you guys were in a safe place. It's nice to see a new post here ;).
ReplyDeleteHere in Cali, they make such a big deal of earthquakes and the Santa Ana winds that is annoying. Seriously. They other day they put the reporter in the middle of the mountains (Hello! It's obviously going to be windy there!) and she warned people to have their emergency kits ready, ha. It's been really calm and sunny since then (temperatures of around 90F). Anyway, I know Sandy is a fact and it's serious, though. So keep yourselves safe ;).
Tight hugs! ;D
I'd forgotten to say that I love these photos and the dark liner or eye shadow you've been wearing ;). You have pretty eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! Love the knee socks. Hope you all managed to stay safe and dry last night x
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf! And I have very similar shoes! So cool)))
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the hurricane is over and everyone is safe.
