Last week, I was browsing Marisa's blog, when I came across this recipe from Old Red Boots. I got really excited and ran right out to get some ingredients.
I made these for our friends at the halloween party. They were a HUGE hit, even though I didn't get them to come out as perfectly shaped as Martha's. But I think they're pretty good for a first-time effort! I've never made whoopie pies before, and I'm so glad I did. The cake/ cookie part tasted a bit like pumpkin pie. I could make these year-round.
PS, come see me perform this Sunday at the Tinderbox Music Festival!! Webster Hall in NYC, CocoRosie headlining. Buy tix here. xx
These look so great! Also, can I say I'm totally in love with those mugs?
ReplyDeleteGood Luck on your show! When I was in NY last summer I caught a show in Webster Hall, it's a great venue!
