Phew! The past couple of days have been crazy! I've spent a lot of time preparing for Tinderbox (which was yesterday), and a little less time preparing for blog posts.
I made an official announcement a few weeks ago, but in case you missed that, Tinderbox is a music festival in NYC for upcoming female musicians. This year, it was at Webster Hall! There were three stages, and a packed schedule of artists and bands... it was overwhelming and exciting. I had my wonderful friend/ bassist Owen accompany me and I have to say... we killed it!
Anyway... here are some unrelated style photos. These were taken near one of my most favorite places- Kave Cafe in Brooklyn.
Like I mentioned, I didn't have a lot of time or will to do posts last week. I'm actually writing this right now, on Monday, and planning to hit the "publish" button as soon as I'm finished. All my posts are usually scheduled, so this feels a little weird... not being able to double check and re-write everything ten times.
In the past few weeks, I've been feeling a little overwhelmed by blogging. So I thought maybe I'd have to give myself a tiny break (or maybe just NOT pressure myself into feeling like I must post 5-7 times per week.) Then I had a soul-searching writing session on Friday, and came up with a bunch of new ideas. So we'll see what this week holds! For now, I guess I'm just rambling :)
More on Tinderbox later! Hope your weekend was fabulous :) xoxo
♥ listen to my new record on bandcamp ♥
I've been pretty useless at posting lately too, usually I'm at least a couple of days ahead but I've got nothing in reserve at the moment so I'm kind of at a loss. Love this red dress, and you tights are adorable. Glad you had a good, but busy, weekend xo
ReplyDeleteyup, i feel the same! sometimes you're just flying by the seat of your pants. the feeling is a little refreshing, to be honest. thank you girl! x
DeleteTinderbox sounds like it went well! And I can totally understand needing a blogging break. I am still new to it and I am quickly realizing how much it can feel like another job!
ReplyDeleteit does! i'm constantly thinking about new ideas and on my little laptop writing and uploading pictures. but sometimes, i realize i'm doing more of that than living my ACTUAL life. and that's no good :)
Deleteloving that dress so much, so glad you had a great time yesterday :)
ReplyDeletethank you !! xox

DeleteIs good to read that you had fun
ReplyDeleteyour outfit is amazing, I love dots.
thank you, sweetie :)
DeleteOh my gosh, I love your outfit, but the scarf is my absolute favorite piece. I love pretty accessories and that one is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, about a lack of inspiration for blogging - I get that from time to time, and then I'll get a burst of inspiration!
the scarf is my favorite too! every morning, i have to fight myself on wearing it yet another day.
Deleteyeah, it's weird... usually the burnout lends itself to new inspiration. but you have to be willing to let the burnout overtake you first. weird how that works, right? :) x
Blog breaks are always nice! I've done that in the past and always feel recharged after.
ReplyDeleteAlso VIVA PETER PAN COLLARS! <3
You are so so so so lovely!
ReplyDeleteI feel really overwhelmed lately too.
School is kicking my butt and I feel like I have been slacking with my blog.
It is easy to feel overwhelmed by blogging. Hope it works out for you to not feel so pressured.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, love the tights with that red!
