I opened up a card from my grandmother recently, and found it stuffed with baby pictures and photos from when I was little. I deal with photos every day, and it feels almost quaint nowadays to have an actual physical one in my hands, rather than several files that can be kept on my hard drive. But still. They are wonderful to have. I've been keeping the photos and the little notes she sends along with them in a special box near my desk.
These were happy times (well, the ones that I can remember.) Not all the times then were. But these ones were.

That giant stuffed pig thing is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat pig was my grandmothers! I used to "ride" it around the house all the time... I actually remember this photo.
DeleteI love having the physical photos, especially of those that are from travels and are kept in a photo album. It seems more real, more set in stone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely thing to find! I still love a good old fashioned photo :) What a cutie you were too!

Aww, thank you!
Deletesuper cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just beautiful! That's so sweet that your grandmother sends you cards with precious photographs like these. I kept so many of my cards from my grandparents & looking back I'm so happy I did as its the sweetest little reminder of how loving they were :-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed :) xx
DeleteAw, how adorable you are! Grandmas are the sweetest <3
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to be able to go through physical photos rather than just click 'next' on your computer.
ReplyDeleteI've got shoeboxes stuffed with them (I'm sure I'll get round to putting them in an album one of these days...!)

I love physical photos, my obsession with photography started when I was really young, playing around a second-hand film camera :) I really treasure all my family photos. It was lovely to get a peek of yours! xoxo
