Country gal
I'm getting a Midwestern vibe from these pictures... I think it's the wood. Not a normal sight to behold in Brooklyn, even though the graffiti sort of gives the true locale away. Like always, it was just one of those backgrounds we stumbled across and thought looked unique. It's true this sort of old wood is such a rare find in the land of concrete and brick, so of course it was like "OMG SOMETHING NEW! LET'S SHOOT IT!!" :P
I'm still out on the final verdict. Though I think it's cool how the setting in which something is framed can change the entire perception of the subject (check out the last shot with me against the city scape! Totally different vibe, same girl.)
Anyway, I scored this dress at Urban Outfitters recently. Even though it's for summer, I feel like the color can translate to fall well. And when I tried it on, it just seemed to be one of those colors that really looks good against my skin. I've never really known what "my color" is. I guess it's this one.
Also, I just love the print and overall style of this dress... I'm way into the boho thing lately.
My apologies for having this bag in like, every single style post lately. But the thing is... I just love it that much!
Plus I know bags are supposed to be one of those classic girl obsession things, but the truth is... I'm a one-bag kinda gal. I just don't tend to buy too many of them. That, and I can't deal with transferring things from bag to bag every single day. It's too stressful and I'm super forgetful. So when I find one I like, I stick with it!

Ah, I love that dress! The lace detail at the bottom is so unique. And it's very cool to see how a different background changes the vibe of the whole picture!

DeleteLove the wood background! I totally agree that the colors in your dress work for fall -- I'm all about repurposing clothes for different seasons.

DeleteI'm totally the same with bags, it's just so much easier being able to grab the same one each day and know that everything is in it. Love this outfit, you look amazing, and so summery! That dress is gorgeous xo

thanks!
DeleteI am enamoured with this outfit! I'm a one-bag girl, too...my current one just lost a buckle, so now I'm due for a replacement. I get so attached that I kind of resent having to look for a new one that will match up as well, haha!

Great dress, it will totally transition perfectly into fall. I'm also a one-bag-at-a-time kinda girl. I hate transferring things around all the time. Love this hat!
ReplyDeleteAwe, this dress looks great you! It's different from what you usually wear and yet you've made it your own style ;).
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
I love the bag.. I'm the same way about them, I don't see the point in changing them up.
ReplyDeleteI agree to the bag thing cause I'm the same when it come to bags. I have a winter messenger and a summer messenger bag, he he!

Love this bohemian vibe and you stumbled on the perfect backdrop for it!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Chantilly! I saw this in the Modcloth gallery & immediately loved :-). It's so unique seeing a backdrop like this in the city but how cool! Strangest thing last week I saw your "twin" when I was out getting a bite at Panera... If I didn't know better, I seriously would have thought it was you...hehe. Have a sweet day girlie! xo Marisa
