Milk and Honey Recipe

Milk and Honey Recipe

When I received my awesome raw honey package last month, I got to asking myself what else I could do with all this delicious honey I had laying around.  Then the idea of milk and honey popped in my head.  It's a delicious-sounding phrase, you know?  It brings to mind all the pleasures there are out there in the world, right at your fingertips.

I'd never had warm milk before, and wasn't sure that I would like it.  However, it's really tasty.   And super easy to make, and soothing.  A comfort food for sure, and traditionally imbibed right before bed, with dreams of New Mexico in your head...

A side note about the mug... A few years ago, I had an idea that I would collect state-themed mugs from thrift stores, and eventually end up with a set of fifty.  I only ever got to three- New York, Maine, and (for some reason) New Mexico.  But I love the ones I have :)

MILK AND HONEY FOR ONE!

One cup milk (I used soy milk)
One and a half teaspoons honey per cup of milk
Sprinkle of cinnamon (forgot this step for the pictures!  Makes it real yummy, though.)

Heat milk on medium, and stir in honey when the milk is hot but not boiling.

Pour and serve :)

  2. Yum .. sounds delicious. Glad it works well with soy milk .. dairy makes my nose run so I try to avoid it.
