Review excerpts- The Up to the Moon EP-
An acoustic curtsy for the pained at heart... the release is a doleful portrait of an artist as a young woman, one that is flush with lure and blemished love.
-Taylor Haag, Performer Magazine
The album is really great, you guys. It has a sort of bluesy, folk, vintage feel to it. If I had to compare Chantilly's music, I'd describe it as maybe a mix between Amy Winehouse and She & Him. But don't take my word for it, go listen!
-Elizabeth, Delightfully Tacky
This week in the mail I received Chantilly's new EP and I've been listening to it pretty non-stop since Tuesday. Well worth it and you'll be supporting an indie artist!
-Kaelah Bee, Little Chief Honeybee
Chantilly [is] one of our favorite ladies... She's insanely talented, I was really impressed with all of the tracks on the album... Trust me, you NEED to hear this!
-Elise Manbert, Blowfish Shoes
Review Exerpts- Caught Light-
"What made me first listen to Caught Light is that each of the songs, although having the same underlying freshness and contribution of Chantilly's truly unique vocals, is distinctively different further, highlighting the versatility of the artist. From the more melancholic acoustic experience of All I Have, to the more upbeat vocals of An Affair, the folk influence in Infomercial Song, and the warmth of Springtime Travels."
-Frostclick.com
"If there were only one word to describe Chantilly's Caught Light, the word would be "enchanting." Her lovely, clear voice sings down to Earth lyrics, and her music is absolutely delightful."
-Loosey Lucy
"Caught Light is thirty minutes of intimate songs, perfect for relaxing on a rainy day or for laying down in the grass enjoying a nice breeze on a fall afternoon."
-Dakota Student Union
"Chantilly demonstrates writing talent and originality in her composition."
-Listen, See, Feel
"The Brooklyn singer-songwriter comes across as full-bore chartpop with a dollop of soul, like a melodically-minded R&B star, albeit with a delicate sliding-tone vocal."
-Cover Lay Down
"Chantilly is too good of a vocalist to go unnoticed, and these 9 songs are pretty close to musical perfection."
- Mossip
