Roses

Roses

It might be vain, but I am quite enamored with my own booty in these jeans...  What can I say.  High rise skinnies.  They're my everything.  Makes me anxious to start wearing more body-conscious clothing again, after being huddled up in layers all winter.

The weather was not on our side when we took these pics.  It was annoyingly cold, and there was a slight drizzle of rain.  I've been really excited about wearing this kimono, now that the weather's been warming up.  So I steeled my resolve, and resisted the urge to just throw on a big sweater and protect myself against the whipping wind.

The pleasant side effect of the rain, however, was the pretty little particles that you can see in each picture!

Of course, this is the gorgeous necklace that I mentioned in last Friday's post.  I regrettably didn't get any close-up shots of it, since this shoot was such an in-and-out job.  But it is lovely.

Also, this week, Lisa is offering 20% off anything in her shop the code CHANTILLY!  Take advantage of this offer while it lasts :)

  2. Love the outfit. So happy high rise or any rise other then low is now for sale in shops, not just thrift stores. I'm so sick of showing everyone my butt crack every time I sit, bend over, or squat!

    1. Haha, oh the 90's... I used to be addicted to those low-rise jeans and pants. Butt crack and all :P Not anymore though... it's high rise all the way, baby.

  3. It's always weird having to transition over to wearing something different as seasons change. You start realizing how many cookies you had over the winter. haha!

    1. Ha... well I'm starting to lose a bit of winter cookie poundage, so that may be where my sudden booty pride is coming from. That's a whole other post though :)

  4. I actually love everything about this outfit and the "little particles"... isn't it a drag when the photo shoot gets weather-bombed?!

    1. Ughh, such a drag. We powered through the winter, through snow and below-freezing days. Yet somehow the weather for this one was the WORST. We were shooting for like two minutes and were both like "okay, we've had enough..."

  8. Girl, your booty is good in those jeans. (is that weird to say? I hope not.)

I am obsessed with kimonos. I bought one from Target and I literally could wear it every day. Love these photos of you! You are beautiful!

  10. GORGEOUS outfit! My favorite jeans are either American Eagle skinny kick jeans, or any *lovely* boot cut or flare jean. Denim is my thing! You look fabulous!

    1. Thanks Angie... sounds great! I must admit, I'm married to skinny jeans these days. I can't even fathom a bootcut anymore, even though I know they're coming back and I'll probably be wearing them next year :P

  12. Ahh yes, the floral kimono. I feel like everyone has one except me! I feel so left out. Haha. I love how you styled it here. It seems like the perfect thing to add to a casual outfit to bring it to that next level of awesomeness. :D

    1. I felt like I was the only person without one too! Even though they're totally not practical for me right now... I like to stay warm, and cardigans are my go-to. I'm thinking this summer I'll rock the kimonos hard. You should get one though! F21 has some good deals. xx!

  13. You look amazing in these jeans! I love high-waisted anything, can't believe I ever thought low-rise was where it's at :P Thanks for rockin' the necklace so hard- you rule! Also- I recently got a hand me down kimono and it's been pretty neglected but now I'm inspired!

It was totally worth it the brave the rain sister cause these photos are awesome! And you look amazing. It's a-ok to have that pair of jeans that look great and you know it :) I've been searching for a great kimono and haven't been able to find one yet that doesn't look like its trying to swallow me whole. Being a shrimp has some serious disadvantages. Anyway, glad I found your blog! xo
