Sunglasses

It feels a little odd to be wearing sunglasses in the winter... yet I couldn't help busting these babies out on a recent walk around our neighborhood. See, once upon a time the temperature was actually above freezing :) And I felt quite fine strutting around in my new cute lace top and cuter sunglasses.

Longing for warmth...

LIFE STUFF:
~ Trying to not have cabin fever (so much snow and cold just makes me want to become a shut-in... then I get super bored.)
~ Been thinking (very tentatively) about wedding plans.
~ Been getting some unexpected work and freelance stuff out of the blue. yay!!
~ Went to the Russian bath house in the East Village this weekend (it's basically a series of really hot saunas.) Detoxifying my body feels amazing.
~ Been hella procrastinating on stuff for the new EP. I think I'm really scared of making and releasing this one, for some reason. Ha, too late for that now!
~ Things with Noise Collective have been going good. Through them, I've spearheaded a new series of songwriting workshops for NYC artists, and I'm really enjoying it.

~ Having doubts and anxiety about some things.
~ But it's okay, because I'm a human.

The end.

How was your weekend, by the way?

  1. Love these photos and there's nothing wrong with wearing sunglasses whatever the weather - the sun has been really low in the sky lately. Makes driving tricky.

  3. You look SO cute! I love simple and cute casual outfits with Minnetonkas, they add such a nice hippie vibe to the look and the floral wreath as well! <3

    1. Yeah, I seem to be collecting lots of these "hippie" items lately. Lace... flower crowns... etc. But... I collect sooo many items from different style families. That's my problem. I can't choose just one "identity." I like to dabble :)

    1. Thank you! We try to mix it up for each shoot. This locale struck me because it was a corner, and we haven't shot at a corner yet. Glad you like it! And... the Russian bath house is AMAZEBALLS.

  5. Yay about getting freelance work and making wedding plans! :p

I was sick all weekend, so we didn't really do much. Well, we had friends over on Friday, but I felt like crap, haha.

    Here's to a wonderful & healthy week! :p Hugs!

    1. I'm soo glad to hear you're looking forward to the EP. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who cares about it, and it's hard to keep going. It's good to know folks like you do care :)

Sounds like a lovely day! xx

  8. I'm forever a sunglasses in winter kind of gal because driving around with a bright white sky and bright white snow on the ground makes my eyes tear instantly! Gosh...you take some of the prettiest photos lady! And heck, a Russian Bath sounds like a dream right now.

My weekend consistent of more snow...which meant much time indoors practicing my accordion...ha! xoxo

    1. Thank you! I was actually feeling like this shoot was kind of a bust. Didn't like almost any of the photos. Do you ever feel like that? Sometimes it gets wearing to constantly look at photos of yourself, and see all your flaws ALL the time. Glad to know sometimes it's all in your head. Anyway, you're no slouch, yourself :)
