Pretties
I've been getting a little bit back into Pinterest recently. Doing some lurking and digging around...
One of the main reasons I used to like it so much was that they had html codes associated with every pin. It was really easy to find an images that you found pretty or inspiring, and copy the code straight to your blog. I'm not sure what happened, but at some point they changed it, so you can no longer post an html code anymore. Not only that, but dozens of posts that I've made in the past just have broken pictures. Grr, so annoying... I vow to go back and fix this someday.
I still want to post pretty pictures, even though it's inconvenient now. I saved all these to my computer and uploaded them straight to blogger (does anyone know a more convenient way??) So... here are some images that I've liked lately.

I always save and upload photos. I don't really know any other way and it's probably the safest.
ReplyDeleteIf you right click on an image the options list comes up. Instead of clicking on save image there should be an option to copy image source (or maybe it's copy image location). Then you can put in blogger as image from a url. But it is the exact image url so if you want to have it go back to the source you still have to link that yourself. Discovered this a few months ago and has saved me some time and space on my computer. Hope it helps you.
ReplyDeleteAnd by source I mean link to the website page you got it from and not just the image. If that makes sense.
DeleteYeah Pinterest did something to jack up their embed codes and now it's super ugly and unfortunately, means I don't get to share pins as much anymore. I also just save the image and reupload but I haaaaate doing that! Although I rather not use the link source because I don't want to get accused of hotlinking or stealing bandwidth.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that was an issue. Now I'm slightly concerned.
DeleteAll of these pictures are so wonderful!! I love the one with the confetti! Sometimes I just do copy and paste and it works well enough!

lovely pics!
ReplyDeleteI think the best way is to save them and upload them yourself, that way, as Marilyn said, you won't be stealing the bandwidth of/hotlinking the original source. Lovely image choices, I especially love that green coat!
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pins!
