Woman in Black

Woman in Black

black outfit

My color palette has been narrowing down a bit lately...

In the past, I've always (always) loved a lot of color and patterns.  But recently, I've been checking out clothing that's either cream or black.  Maybe it's part of my general desire to simplify.  That, and maybe I'm trying out a look here that's totally RAWK(!)  I dunno... tons of black always reminds me of cool rock n' roll singers.

Either way, I am in love with this top from Sammydress.  It's one of my most favorite items I've received from them.  It's super comfortable and stretchy.  The batwing sleeves are amazing.

Well, I hope everyone's weekend was awesome.  Wishing you good things for the week ahead :)

  1. that jumping picture is the greatest. i adore it! and i am all about wearing black. black v neck. little black dresses. black sweaters. black skirts. black everything. i kind of have a problem with owning too many clothes that are dark colors

    1. See, I've always had the opposite problem. Whenever I'm in the store, my eye automatically goes to every single piece with the most color and/ or patterns. Then, I have no staple pieces and nothing matches. Haha.

Well, I guess things are changing... I want little black everything! x

  2. I have felt similarly lately as well. While I still love patterns/wild color, I have been more and more attracted to the minimal style where I'm not overloading on accessories (as much) as I used to and also living in more neutral/solids. =) This is a great look!

  3. I love black clothing .. and I always gravitate toward neutrals .. color sometimes says "look at me!" and I'm too introverted for that ... lol.

    1. I think lots of black is a statement in itself though. It can mean so many things. You're probably saying more than you think with your clothing :)

  5. I'm the best example of someone who rarely wears colors. If find black, white, grey, nude colors so much easier to style. you can mix and match really easy and quick without having to think about too much. Sometimes I try getting out of my comfort zone, but it's rate ;)
I love your outfit and could totally see myself in it! I also looove the jumping picture! :)

    1. This is a good point... not having to think so much about what goes together! Haha. It's a challenge when you have a closet full of mis-matched patterns and colors. Thank you!

    1. This comment means the world to me, thank you Violet!! My hair has been sooo annoying lately. It's always been wild and poofy. But now that I thinned it out, it will only lay flat. WTF, hair? :P x
