Obsessed with the Halloween mugs at Target this fall? You and me both!
It’s finally the perfect time of year to start visiting fall festivals and pumpkin patches, and putting together your favorite Halloween playlists.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve also had visions of pumpkin spice lattes and hot apple cider dancing in your head. And what makes those yummy drinks even better? Having them in a Halloween mug, of course! And Target has the best selection, by far.
It all started when I spotted the infamous Threshold ghost mug on one of my trips, I took a short video and posted it to Tiktok- where it promptly went viral with 2.5 million views!
Now I can safely say that I have a very well-rounded collection of Target Halloween mugs — including the Target pumpkin mug and Target jack-o-lantern mug. And I couldn’t be happier to review them for you!

How Do You Score a Target Halloween Mug?
Before we get into the reviews, I just want to give you a couple of tips on how to snag one of these Halloween mugs.Because the only problem with the Target Halloween mugs is that they're not always easy to track down. They’ve become so popular in recent years that they sell out almost instantly!
Same with the seasonal decor and dollar spot items at Target. Cute stuff + great prices = people snatching up the more in-demand items (and sometimes selling them at a markup!)
However, armed with tips from my fellow Tiktokers and a little dedication, I was still able to snag most of my wishlist. In fact, in just a few weeks, I’ve become an old pro at hunting down in-demand Target items.
So now, I pass the golden knowledge onto you. Here are my best tips for successfully snagging a Halloween Target mug-

- You can avoid unnecessary Target trips by checking if they have stock at your store ahead of time (on the app or the site.) Sometimes they’ll even let you place the order online and pick it up in-store!
- Download and sign up for the app
- Save the item you want, then turn on notifications for when the item comes back into stock. You’ll then receive texts and/ or emails when the item restocks.
- When you see a notification: Get to the app as fast as you can, add the item to your cart, and check out without hesitation. I stress the last part… Thousands of people are doing the same thing for popular items, so sometimes they disappear in seconds!
- If you have the Target Red card, you can use that to pay for your items and receive free shipping!

Target Ghost Mug
Here it is! The mug that started it all… The infamous Target Threshold ghost mug.It's no wonder this guy has taken off in popularity. He's giving friendly ghost vibes all the way, and looks like he's about to give you a big hug. Can he be cuter?
Last year, it had a little “O” as the mouth, but this year you'll notice it has a cheeky little smile. I’ve seen some people compare this Halloween mug to the Snapchat logo, but I personally don't see it.
This lil guy holds 10 oz.
What’s even better is that this ghost mug comes in regular and mini sized! MINI! 😍 The smaller size is 6 oz.
The mini ghost mug has been elusive to me, and the restocks on the site have literally sold out in seconds. I’m still looking, but I’m content to have found the 13 oz version.
Like the orange-feet ghost mug, this one comes in 13 oz, and a mini 6 oz size. I managed to get the mini ones!
Although this size isn’t big enough to hold a full cup of coffee, I still love it. It’s a great size for an espresso, or could also be cute for a little kid mommy-and-me moment (don’t serve your child coffee, though. Perfect for milk or juice.)
Note that it’s also similar to the (much pricier) Pottery Barn pumpkin mug.
At 11 oz, Some people say this mug is too small. So if you’re looking for a mug that holds a lot of coffee, maybe pass on this one. I actually prefer coffee mugs that aren’t huge, so…
Target Ghost Mug #2
I couldn't believe it when I found out there was a SECOND ghost mug at Target from the Hyde and EEK Boutique collection... but it's true! If I'm being honest, i like this one even more than the 'viral' one. With its adorable “O” shaped mouth and eyes, and little orange feet, it's simply irresistible,What’s even better is that this ghost mug comes in regular and mini sized! MINI! 😍 The smaller size is 6 oz.

Target Jack O'Lantern Mug
Here we have the classic jack o’lantern mug from Hyde and EEK. Do we love? Yes, we love!Like the orange-feet ghost mug, this one comes in 13 oz, and a mini 6 oz size. I managed to get the mini ones!
Although this size isn’t big enough to hold a full cup of coffee, I still love it. It’s a great size for an espresso, or could also be cute for a little kid mommy-and-me moment (don’t serve your child coffee, though. Perfect for milk or juice.)
Target Pumpkin Mug
If you’re into minimal style, this classic Target pumpkin mug might be up your alley. This one is for neutral-lovers, as it’s a matte brown/ orange color. It really makes my pumpkin spice drinks that much more enjoyable!Note that it’s also similar to the (much pricier) Pottery Barn pumpkin mug.

Target Pumpkin Mug #2
Speaking of pumpkin mugs, don’t you just love this one?True, it's not shaped like an actual pumpkin, but it IS whimsically dotted with adorable pumpkins. I love that the design goes all the way around the mug, so that you can see it no matter which way you're holding it. I also love that the pumpkins are etched into the mug, rather than just painted on.
The “Happy Fall” in cursive on the inside gives it that special touch.
AND if you love a big cup of coffee, this one will be perfect for you, as it holds 16 oz!
Like the previous pumpkin mug, the wording is embossed into the side, so that it feel substantial and not just painted on.
What I love most about this mug is that it can be used from the beginning of fall, straight to the end. September-November. You don't have to stop using it after Halloween.

What I love most about this mug is that it can be used from the beginning of fall, straight to the end. September-November. You don't have to stop using it after Halloween.
