How to Style a Desk

20160928-IMG_2560

It's been a few months now since we moved into our new apartment... I guess it's not so new anymore, haha. 😛   Anyway, I wanted to show you guys my desk setup so far!

Peanut Butter Popcorn Recipe

Sometimes, I feel like my love for peanut butter is way deeper than most people's.  It's my go-to for any kind of decadent dessert.  Come to think of it, a couple of dollops on pretty much anything, and I'm a happy camper 😛  (hello, peanut butter BACON anyone??  Will save that nugget for another blog post...)

Summer Memories ~

It has FINALLY started to get a little cooler outside (thank god!) and my enthusiasm for all the typical fall activities has been renewed.  In the past it's been like... yeah, apple picking is cool... but planning that stuff is a pain, especially in the city with no car.  If I get to it this year, bonus!  If not, oh well.  This time around, I'm all about it.  Bring on the PSL parade!!

Since I've been gradually working my way back to posting here, I never got the chance to share my memories and photos from this past summer, though.  It has been a happy one!  Our move back to the city was completely painless and our apartment is awesome.  We spent a lot of time getting our living space in order, adjusting to being back, and hanging with friends and family :)

Honeymoon Part 3 ~ Scenery & San Luis Obispo

Time for Part 3 of my 4-part honeymoon series!!  Last year, my husband and I got married :)  Then we went on a roadtrip down California Highway 1.  Click for Part 1 and Part 2.

So... we were on the third leg of our journey, coming from Monterey down to Santa Barbara.   Things are starting to seem more relaxed, and we start getting used to the feeling of changing hotels every couple of days.  I remember driving through mountains in the dark, listening to 60's surf music on Sirius Radio.  I remember checking into our hotel- the retro Agave Inn.  I remember cool air that night... it all felt like a movie.

The next day, I made plans for us to backtrack upstream to a resort in San Luis Obispo, where they had hot spring pools open to the public.  I'm kind of obsessed with saunas, spas, steam rooms, jacuzzis... basically all things hot and relaxing.  So this side trip was a must for me :)

The experience did not disappoint.  They were private hot tubs for two nestled in the woods.  You could rent them by the hour for two hours max.  To get to the pools you ascended a big outdoor flight of stairs, like you were climbing to a magic treehouse in the sky.

Sigh... so gorgeous.

And through it all, there was of course MAJOR BEAUTIFUL scenery.  My favorite part was during this drive from Monterey to Santa Barbara, because it's where more of these yellow flowers started to show up.  They contrasted gorgeously with the blue ocean.  I took too many pictures of everything...

Honeymoon Part 2 ~ Monterey & Big Sur

Next stop, Monterey!!  This was the time when we started making our way down to California Highway 1.  Which in case you haven't heard, has the reputation of being one of the most scenic drives known to man.  That drive was the main reason we wanted to do the trip, and boy did it live up to the hype.

Blue water.  Cliff drops.  Secret paths.  Scenery for days.

Redesign ++ Techical Issues!

Hii!

So, quickie update... I'm doing a redesign here that I'm really really excited about!  Tbh, it probably looks a little messed up right now, and will for the next few weeks.  Lol.  There's some bugs to be worked out.

Maine // July

*Throwback alert*

Remember 4th of July last month?  Yeah well, I'm just getting around to posting about that :P  I have a seriously big backlog of photos that I'm hoping to share eventually.  Or at least catch up with myself, and start posting the ones I take on the regular.  At this point, it's just a personal project.

Either way, maybe you will enjoy re-living July 4th all over again in August?!
